466. Hosea⁸ Smith {Sr.} (John⁹, John¹⁰) was born in Bridgewater, Plymouth, MA 20 March 1768. Hosea died 14 May 1847 in Charlotte, Washington, ME, at 79 years of age.

He married Abigail Hersey 14 November 1791 in Bridgewater, Plymouth, MA. Abigail was born 12 November 1776 in Of Seakonk, Bristol, MA. Abigail was the daughter of Zadock Hersey and Abigail Lewis. Abigail died 3 August 1851 in Charlotte, Washington, ME, at 74 years of age.

Hosea Smith Sr. and Abigail Hersey had the following children:

467 i. Hosea⁷ Smith {Rev.} was born in Washington, ME 1792. Hosea died 1856 in Charlotte, Washington, ME, at 64 years of age. He married Mary Damon about 1810. Mary was born 1792. Mary died 1871 at 79 years of age.

468 ii. Abigail Smith was born 1794. Abigail died 1875 at 81 years of age. She married John Hughes about 1811. John was born about 1794. John died 1875 at 81 years of age.

469 iii. Polly Smith was born 1796. Polly died 1807 at 11 years of age.

470 iv. John Smith was born 1798. John died 1886 at 88 years of age. He married Sally F. Babb. Sally was born about 1800. Sally died 1875 at 75 years of age.

471 vi. Eliza Smith was born 1802. Eliza died 1882 at 80 years of age. She married William D. Clark Jr. William was born about 1809. William was the son of William D. Clark and Anna. William died 1855 at 46 years of age.

472 vii. Hannah Smith was born in Charlotte, Washington, ME 11 February 1805. Hannah died 5 January 1880 in Charlotte, Washington, ME, at 74 years of age. She married John McGlauflin 1819 in Charlotte, Washington, ME. John was born 11 October 1798 in Charlestown, Sullivan, NH. John was the son of James MacLachlan and Mary Malone. John died 6 December 1850 in Charlotte, Washington, ME, at 52 years of age.

473 viii. Zadock Smith was born 1807. Zadock died 1885 at 78 years of age. He married Emma Wilder 11 September 1839 in Charlotte, Washington, ME. Emma was born 1812. Emma died 1899 at 87 years of age.

474 ix. William L. Smith was born 1808. William died 1889 at 81 years of age. He married Anna (Lewis) Clark. Anna was born about 1810.

475 x. Mary Smith was born 1810. Mary died 1900 at 90 years of age. She married William C. Greenlaw. William was born about 1810. William died 1861 at 51 years of age.

476 xi. Anna C. Smith was born in Charlotte, Washington, ME 1812. Anna died 1849 at 37 years of age. She married Isaac W. Clark about 1833. Isaac was born about 1810 in Charlotte, Washington, ME. Isaac was the son of William D. Clark and Anna.

477 xii. Sarah J. Smith was born in Charlotte, Washington, ME 1814. Sarah died 1852 at 38 years of age. She married Thomas Wood. Thomas was born about 1812. Thomas died 1902 at 90 years of age.

478 xiii. Margaret Hughes Smith was born in Charlotte, Washington, ME 1819. Margaret died 1884 at 65 years of age. She married Isaac Morgan. Isaac was born about 1818.
