5944 viii. Henry Tucker was born in Milton Next, Gravesend, Kent, England 1609.

5946 x. John Tucker was born in Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts 1616. John died 5 August 1661 in Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts, at 45 years of age. His body was interred in Little Compton, Newport, RI. John had a house lot of four acres granted to him on Broad Cove (Lincoln Street) September 18, 1635 which was bounded on the northwest by John Palmer and southeast by Thomas Chubbuck. He may have been a resident of Watertown for a short time about 1636 as stated by Mr. Savage, but was in Hingham the year foll. or soon after. The name of his first wife who died 23 May 1644 is not given on Hingham Records. His second wife, he married June 11, 1649, widow Ann Norton, perhaps the relict of William Norton. She died 8 Oct 1675 and in her will "resetend at Boston 26, 8, 1675" bequesths two parts of her estate "to Paul Gilford my grand child" and the remainder "to Susanna Jewell my grand child and sister of the aforesaid Paul"....Children all by his first wife:

i. John m. at Boston March 12, 1657-58 Elizabeth, daughter of Edmund and Elizabeth Hobart. She was bt April 19, 1635 and died in Hingham 11 Oct 1707 aged 72 years. He died 24 march 1687-88. Constable 1664. Freeman 1677. Resided on paternal homestead, Lincoln St.
