He married Leah Gould [Twin] 29 August 1681 in Chelmsford, Middlesex, MA. Leah was born 4 May 1663 in Chelmsford, Middlesex, MA. Leah was the daughter of Francis Gould and Rose. Leah died 1718 at 55 years of age.

1770 i. Edith¹⁰ Adams was born in Chelmsford, MA 1 December 1683. She married Jacob Powers.

1771 ii. Mary Adams was born in Chelmsford, Middx, MA 25 September 1685. She died young.

1772 iii. Mary Adams was born in Chelmsford, Middlesex, MA 13 May 1687. Mary died 1718 at 32 years of age. She married William Haggett 13 May 1707.

1773 iv. Margaret Adams was born in Chelmsford, Middx, MA 24 June 1688.

1774 v. Lydia Adams was born in Chelmsford, Middx, MA 2 April 1691. She married Thomas Robbins 6 August 1713 in Concord, Middlesex, Mass.

1775 vi. Abigail Adams was born in Chelmsford, Middx, MA 9 November 1693.

1776 vii. Jonathan Adams was born in Chelmsford, Middx, MA 28 March 1695/1696.

1777 viii. David Adams was born in Chelmsford, Middx, MA 29 March 1699. David died 3 March 1745/1746 in Canterbury, Conneticut, at 46 years of age. He married Dorcas Paine 27 August 1723 in Canterbury, Conneticut.

1778 ix. Elizabeth Adams was born in Chelmsford, Middx, MA 1701.

+ 1104 x. Rachel Adams was born 1702.

1779 xi. Edward Adams was born in Chelmsford, Middx, MA about 1703.
