He married twice. He married Sarah. He married Mary. Mary was born 1608 in England. Mary died 26 January 1687 in Newport, Newport, RI, at 78 years of age.

John Butterworth and Mary had the following children:

4165 i. Abraham¹² Butterworth was born in England about 1622.

+ 2725 ii. Mary Butterworth was born 29 August 1629.

4166 iii. John Butterworth was born in Rehoboth, Bristol, MA about 1630. John died 1 September 1708 in Bristol, MA, at 78 years of age. He married twice. He married Sarah Butterworth. He married Sarah.

4167 iv. Sarah Butterworth was born in Of Swansea, Bristol, MA 1641. Sarah died 22 August 1722 at 81 years of age. She married twice. She married Hezekiah Luther. She married Hezekiah Luther 1665/1669 in Of Massachusetts. Hezekiah was born 1639/1640 in Bristol, Taunton, MA. Hezekiah was the son of John Luther and Elizabeth Luther. Hezekiah died 30 July 1723 in Swansea, MA, at 83 years of age. His body was interred in Kickemuit Cemete, Warren, RI.
