1665. Samuel¹¹ Whitney (Nathaniel¹², Nathaniel¹³, John¹⁴) was born in Weston, Middlesex, MA 1710/1711. Samuel died 2 August 1788 in Shrewsbury, Middlesex, MA, at 77 years of age.

He married twice. He married an unknown person. He married Elizabeth Hastings 8 April 1735 in Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts. Elizabeth was born 4 March 1716 in Watertown, Middlesex, MA. Elizabeth was the daughter of Joseph Hastings and Sarah Fisk. Elizabeth died 23 October 1800 in Marlborough, Windham, VT, at 84 years of age. Her body was interred in Marlboro, VT.

Samuel Whitney and Elizabeth Hastings had the following children:

1666 i. Elizabeth¹⁰ Whitney was born in Watertown, Middlesex, MA 26 February 1738. Elizabeth died 10 March 1826 in Guilford, Windham, VT, at 88 years of age. She married Joseph Mixer 24 April 1754 in Shrewsbury, Worcester, Massachusetts.

+ 1032 ii. Samuel Whitney was born 23 September 1739.

1667 iii. Nathaniel Whitney was born about 1740. Nathaniel died 19 November 1744 in Shrewsbury, Worcester, MA, at 4 years of age.

1668 iv. Lydia Whitney was born about 1742. Lydia died 3 October 1745 in Shrewsbury, Worcester, MA, at 3 years of age.

1669 v. Lucy Whitney was born in Shrewsbury, MA 27 August 1744. She married Asaph Sherman 26 June 1762 in Grafton, MA.

1670 vi. Lydia Whitney was born in Shrewsbury, Worcester, MA 1 June 1746. She married William Brittan 3 November 1767 in Shrewsbury, Worcester, Massachusetts.

1671 vii. Susannah Whitney was born in Shrewsbury, Worcester, MA 26 February 1748. She married John Bellows 4 October 1768 in Shrewsbury, Worcester, Massachusetts.

1672 viii. Nathaniel Whitney was born in Shrewsbury, Worcester, MA 30 May 1749.

1673 ix. Jonas Whitney was born in Shrewsbury, Worcester, MA 14 June 1751.

1674 x. Sarah Whitney was born in Shrewsbury, Worcester, MA July 1753.

1675 xi. Eliphalet Whitney was born in Shrewsbury, Worcester, MA April 1757.

1676 xii. Martha Whitney was born in Shrewsbury, Worcester, MA 5 August 1757.
