380. John B.⁸ Pierce {Capt.} (Joel⁹, Josiah¹⁰, Isaac¹¹, Joseph¹², Daniel¹³, Anthony¹⁴) was born in VT 19 January 1800. John died 29 April 1849 in Putney, Windham, VT, at 49 years of age.

He married Harriet Moore 21 February 1819 in Putney, Windham, VT. Harriet was born 1797 in VT. Harriet was the daughter of Sewell Moore and Mehitable Dodge.

John B. Pierce Capt. and Harriet Moore had the following children:

381 i. Eunice A.⁷ Pierce was born in Putney, Windham, VT 3 July 1820. She married Elisha H. Roundy 4 November 1839. Elisha was born 12 May 1814 in NH. Elisha died 19 June 1863 at 49 years of age.

382 ii. Abigail F. Pierce was born in Putney, Windham, VT 24 July 1824. She married Alexis B. Hewitt 4 August 1845. Alexis was born 29 November 1822 in VT.

383 iii. John C. Pierce was born in Putney, Windham, VT 7 April 1827. John died in Andersonville, Prison, Civil War. He married Ellen S. Page 1848. Ellen was born 1831. John was a Carpenter in the 1860 census, living in Putney, VT. He joined the VT Cavalry and died in Andersonville Prison.

384 iv. Adeline L. Pierce was born in Putney, Windham, VT 13 September 1830. She married Emery Knowlton 5 November 1848. Emery was born 12 March 1828 in VT.

+ 211 v. Harriet Maria Pierce was born 21 December 1833.

385 vi. George L. Pierce was born in Putney, Windham, VT 8 December 1836. He married Nettie M. Fisher 1864. Nettie was born 1842. George was living with his sister, Abby, during the 1860 census in Putney, VT.

386 vii. Lucy A. Pierce was born in Putney, Windham, VT 13 March 1840. She married John D. Moore 4 April 1859. John was born 5 November 1838.
